This luxury refurbishment and extension of an existing town house in Chelsea involved subterranean excavation to create a new basement and the refurbishment of the existing property. SRE supported the scheme through planning and completed an Energy Statement and EcoHomes pre-assessment to address the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea’s planning policy for subterranean basements. SRE undertook detailed energy modelling and advised on the thermal upgrade to the existing fabric, BREEAM compliant water and energy specifications and inclusion of 2kWp PV. As a result the building successfully achieved an EcoHomes ‘Very Good’ rating.

Testimonial:
‘I used SRE to advise me on ECO Homes for the development of my 3,000 sf terraced home in SW3.  Adam (SRE consultant) was incredibly helpful with the process. He was diligent in ensuring we met the important requirements but also very easy to deal with and very helpful in advising in some less costly approaches to the less critical criteria.  My property obtained a 'Very Good' rating.'
