Hannington Lane provides retail, residential and commercial space in the heart of Brighton’s historic lanes. SRE supported the planning process and undertook Sustainability and Energy Statements, daylighting calculations and the environmental assessments required to address Brighton City Council’s sustainability policies. SRE completed the design stage assessments of the new office building and the residential units as part of a pre-commencement planning condition, and successfully achieved BREEAM NC ‘Very Good’ and CSH Level 4. The scheme included heat pumps, a green roof and PV whilst successfully replicating the distinctive architectural style of the ‘Lanes’.
