Heritage Pavilion is a new, purpose-built visitor centre and research building adjacent to Pembroke Lodge in the Royal Park. SRE supported the planning process through the provision of energy modelling, a BREEAM pre-assessment and a supporting Sustainability Statement. The challenges of developing a new building adjacent to a Grade II listed Pembroke Lodge, whilst also delivering the necessary environmental standards, was overcome by SRE working closely with the client in order to understand their requirements. The incorporation of integrated PV tiles within the traditional design has ensured the project has met the requirements of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames as well as meeting the aesthetic challenges of the site.
