Refurbishment : Lockinge Manor, East Lockinge, Oxfordshire

The refurbishment and redevelopment of a listed timber-frame barn to provide residential accommodation, recreational space (including an indoor swimming pool) and new stabling.  The development was required to meet Part L1b of the Building Regulations and the Client wanted to use low and zero carbon technologies.

SRE undertook an Energy Statement to identify appropriate renewable energy technologies and also advised on the Mechanical and Electrical specification.  The building is utilising a range of technologies to provide space heating and hot water including oil boilers, ground and air source heat pumps and solar water heating.
