The redevelopment and refurbishment of the existing Mill and Mill House into seven residential units. The development was required to meet Policy SE2 of the Surrey Structure Plan and Guildford Borough Council Sustainability Checklist. SRE identified a number of innovative energy options including hydroelectric power to generate 10% on-site renewable energy in support of the planning application. The scheme has achieved BREEAM EcoHomes ‘Very Good’ rating and ultimately used Solar Water Heating and Photovoltaics.
