Choats Road is a 31 unit commercial development split into 4 separate business parks on the former site of the Bulmers Marine Premises. The site covers an area of approximately 34.1 ha.

SRE provided energy efficiency and renewable energy advice on how the development could meet the requirements of The London Plan's energy hierarchy and 20% CO2 offset requirement.

SRE also completed initial SBEM calculations to inform the energy baseline and generated BREEAM Industrial Pre-Assessments to indicate how 'Excellent' could be achieved across the site.

The Sustainability and Energy Statement produced by SRE detailed how the development could connect to the local Barking Power Station District Heating System, as well as discussing the site-specific uses of CHP, Heat Pumps, integrated Photovoltaic arrays and medium-scale wind turbines.
