A hall of residence providing 130 student beds in a six-storey building with retail space on the ground floor. The London Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames Local Plan required 20% CO2 emissions offset from onsite renewable energy generation and the achievement of BREEAM multi-residential. SRE provided Energy and Sustainability Statements in support of planning permission and completed the BREEAM Multi-Residential Assessment to achieve a ‘Very Good’ rating. On-site energy generation includes CHP and both roof and facade mounted PV arrays to meet the planning requirements.
