July 28, 2018

A 2-storey youth centre created in collaboration with the local community, with multi-purpose halls, activity spaces, music room, recording studio and an outside recreation space. The Point Youth Centre has won a Civic Trust Award 2018 for its outstanding architecture, planning and design in the built environment. The project has also been shortlisted for an AJ Architecture Award 2017, Structural Timber Award 2017 and RICS Award 2017, as well as being named ‘Winner’ of the RIBA South Awards 2017 and RIBA MacEwen Award 2017.

We are proud to have worked alongside ACG and the project team to provide building regulation compliance, energy modelling and BREEAM assessments and would like to congratulate all who worked on the scheme.

Olly Wood, Director, Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt said about our involvement: ‘The professional relationship established during this project with SRE was very good. SRE were always on hand to answer queries and provided critical information in a timely manner, I would highly recommend them’.
