SRE undertakes Building Regulation Part L assessments (SAP and SBEM – Level 4) for new and existing residential and commercial developments, and Part G (Water) calculations for all residential buildings. These assessments are required to meet Building Regulations compliance. SAP and SBEM are used, where required, with dynamic modelling, to inform Energy Statements and Energy Strategies.
SAP/SBEM energy ratings provide a means of assessing and comparing different buildings with respect to their thermal performance, fuel supply and system specification. Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are generated from the SAP/SBEM calculations and are mandatory for all new buildings and prior to sale/rent for existing buildings. SRE also undertakes Display Energy Certificates (DECs).
SRE provides detailed modelling and technical advice to enable residential and commercial buildings to achieve the increasingly complex Part L requirements and Zero Carbon Hub standards, and advises on water specifications to meet Part G requirements in the most economical and practicable ways.
