A mixed-use riverside development at Newhaven Marina, East Sussex, consisting of commercial space for retail, restaurants and marina facilities including offices, 400 residential apartments & hotel, and a new riverside walkway.
SRE are assessing the retail units and hotel apartments under BREEAM New Construction 2018, and providing a Materials Life Cycle Assessment to advise on the environmental impacts from construction materials. To ensure compliance with all energy and sustainability requirements outlined in National and Local Planning Policy, SRE has also provided a Sustainability & Energy Statement (incl. LZC Feasibility Study) to outline required energy efficiency measures and renewable technologies to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and achieve 19% improvement in CO2 emissions. Thermal Comfort Analysis is also being undertaken to ensure overheating within buildings meet the standards set out in CIBSE TM59 & TM52.
