Thermal Load Calculations
Indoor thermal comfort is a key indicator of occupant wellbeing and is directly influenced by the ability of thermal envelope and building services to maintain appropriate operative temperatures throughout the year.
SRE uses Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) to produce robust estimates of peak heating and cooling loads, as well as annual energy consumption. Collaborating closely with building services engineers, we support the shaping of the design brief to future-proof performance, reduce operational energy costs and ensure user thermal comfort.
Our modelling team is highly experienced in delivering simulations in accordance with CIBSE AM11, providing detailed thermal analysis to inform plant sizing and supporting technical design development across a range of building types.
