Cara Palmer

With a background in architecture, environmental design and sustainability within construction, my areas of expertise include sustainability strategies, waste reduction and resource efficiency, as well as BREEAM, LEED, Ska Rating, WELL, Fitwel, retrofitting and energy modelling. I am also a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) and a Fairness, Inclusion & Respect (FIR) Ambassador.

During my time at SRE, my role has evolved from heading up the Sustainability Business Unit to heading up the Building Physics Business Unit, to my current role as COO. Whilst each of these roles has required a different skillset, the one constant is the importance SRE places on building and maintaining trust based relationships. Not one day is the same as the other and it certainly keeps things interesting!

Other than the environment, I am passionate about health & wellbeing and interior design. In my spare time, I enjoy being in nature and spending time with family and friends, my three children and our little Shih-poo.
