Affordable housing boost for Hurst Green as Wolfs Wood development completes
26th of July 2026
We are delighted to see the Wolfs Wood residential scheme in Oxted reach completion.
With construction led by Sunninghill Construction, Tandridge District Council’s development transformed a derelict site to add much-needed new affordable homes for Hurst Green’s community. Replacing existing disused garages and homes, the pdp+Architecture PH-designed scheme has delivered eight new houses and four flats, along with parking provision.
The new homes formed part of the Council’s programme to deliver high-quality, energy efficient council homes for local residents. To enable this, SRE’s team worked in partnership with the project team to provide a range of energy and sustainability services. This saw our specialists deliver the energy statement and SAP at planning stage, followed by further support throughout the design stage.

As a result, the new homes are Net Zero carbon in operation and are fully electric with no gas connection. The design incorporates air source heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage, which capture excess energy generated by the panels for use in the home, helping reduce energy costs for residents and supporting the use of renewable technology.
With this scheme now complete, SRE is continuing to support Tandridge District Council in delivering their goals for Net Zero Operation homes throughout their new build housing portfolio.
