Striking a pose for sustainability at Vivienne Westwood HQ

3rd of August 2026

We’re striking a pose for sustainability at Vivienne Westwood’s major Battersea HQ redevelopment!

SRE has been working closely with award-winning AndArchitects Ltd to transform the iconic international fashion brand’s London home on Elcho Street since inception. Inspired by a brief which prioritises sustainability, SRE is delivering the BREEAM assessment in addition to providing micro-climate analysis. Our experts have plotted a course to achieving a rating of ‘Excellent’, but we’re always striving for the best BREEAM result possible so we’re currently exploring with the project team how ‘Outstanding’ could be achieved.

The scheme will see the existing office building extended and deeply refurbished to deliver modern, highly sustainable workspaces arranged across 10 storeys. Punctuated by AndArchitect’s modular, tartan-inspired external collage design, the redevelopment will allow all departments to unite under one roof. Phased delivery will enable the continued operation of the site, minimising disruption and saving time and budget on temporary arrangements.

With planning approval secured earlier this year and detailed design now underway, we’re looking forward to seeing the scheme come to life in the coming months!
